S.W. smith, M.C. for further aid in securing books and received the following.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE&lt;br /&gt;WASHINGTON&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Feb. 23, 1903&lt;br /&gt;W.H.S. Wood&lt;br /&gt;Howell, Mich.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dear Mr. Wood:-&lt;br /&gt;I have your two favors of the 5th and should have replied sooner but have been in Michigan for a short time. I shall be very glad to comply with your&lt;br /&gt;request just so far as possible.
