    Robert and Frederick were the children of of Eva Love Hickey McPherson and Robert Bruce McPherson. Robert was born July 27, 1903, and would be about 15 years old in the photo. Frederick was born on August 20th, 1911, and would have been around 6 years old.

    This is a photograph developed from a glass negative of a store. This photograph postcard is in the Archives, had Vandercook as the photographer, and was described as the "First Mcpherson store in Howell". The photograph belonged to Robert Grubb who wrote it was given to him by the McPherson's about 1894. The exact location is unknown.

    Photo is in the Howell Bicentennial History 1776-1976 captioned with "The McPherson Bus in front of the old bank on the south side of Grand River, with the McPherson Brothers." The photo was also in a First National Bank Calendar.
