Howell, Michigan, November 18, 1955

A meeting of the Library Board was called to order at 7PM. Present were Theodore Krieger, chairman, Leslie B. Merritt, secretary. Mrs. H.L. Williams, trustee and Mrs. Karl Hoch, member ex-officio.

Mrs. Hight librarian reported extensive repairs needed on the roof. The Boos Co. that repaired it previously was reported out of business. As the cost could possibly be beyond the library budget allowance it was decided to refer this matter to the City Council for further instruction. The librarian requested allowance for a new reading room fan be included in next year's budget. She also reported a need for three units of shelving at a cost of about $75 per unit for the adult, teen-age and children's rooms.
