Howell, Michigan, January 28, 1953

A meeting of the Howell library board was called to order at 7:15PM by Theodore Krieger, chairman. Also present were board members Mrs. Harry L. Williams and Leslie B. Merritt.

Mrs. Ina Hight, librarian, conferred with the board on matters of policy, and was then excused to attend another meeting.

Requests for an outside door in the library club room were acknowledged it being claimed failure to have such a door was a fire hazard. It was suggested a contractor's bid be invited for such a door but that its construction must not weaken the wall. It was pointed out the room has several windows at ground level through which people could make safe exists in case
