Howell, Michigan May 23, 1951

A meeting of the library board was called to order at 7PM. Present were Theodore Krieger, chairman, Mrs. H.L. Williams and Leslie B. Merritt members.

Minutes of the meeting of June 30, 1950 were read and approved and expenditures of the interim period as shown on the proceedings book examined.

There was informal discussion on needed improvements. The chairman said he would discuss with city officials needs for sanding and refinishing the floor of the reading room and possibly the entire street floor, trimming or digging up some of the lawn shrubbery particularly where it obstructs view of traffic at street intersections, and the matter of street curbing the area on N. Center street.

Moved by Mrs. Williams and seconded by Mr. Merritt that chairman consult with the city authorities on these matters particularly improvements to the floor. Motion carried.
