Meeting Minutes: A meeting of the Commission was held at the library on Friday evening, May 9th at 7:30, with all members being present
. Dr. Noble called the meeting to order
. The report of the March meeting was read by the secretary and approved as read
.
A motion was made, seconded, and carried that a request from the Civic League for a sidewalk to be constructed across the library lawn for the convenience of pedestrians be refused for the present
. The secretary was instructed to write to Mrs. John Hamilton, representative of the League, of the decision
.
A motion was made and carried that the unsightly fence at the rear of the library building be removed, with Mr. Strobel authorized to supervise the work
. A discussion concerning the purchase of an ornamental fence to replace the old one followed, but no action was taken
. The meeting adjourned

Meeting Minutes: The regular meeting of the Library Commission was held Friday afternoon, May 23rd at 1:15 o'clock, with all members present
. Dr. Noble called the meeting to order
. The secretary's report of the May 9th meeting was read and approved as read
. A bill from H. W. and C. A. Peavy for coal was allowed for $67.77
. After discussion of several other matters, no action was taken
. The meeting adjourned
