Meeting Minutes: A meeting of the Library Commission was held at the library on Monday evening April 15th, with Dr. Noble, Mr. Strobel, and Mrs. Gillette present.
The meeting was called to order by the president, Dr. Noble.
The secretary's report of the last meeting, held on Feb 29th, was read and approved as read.
Due to confusion regarding the bills of materials used in renovating the library, only those clearly defined as belonging to the library were allowed, while others were held over for more detailed information.
Mr. Strobel was instructed to engage a plasterer from Fowlerville to repair the ceiling in the main lobby and other necessary areas.
Dr. Noble was tasked with contacting Mr. Baumann again regarding the replacement of the unsatisfactory rubber matting in the lobby.
The president also agreed to see Mr. Bush of the City Commission concerning Mr. Papworth's salary, as he remained unable to assume full-time janitorial duties.
A discussion was held regarding ways and means for purchasing more books, with information provided by Mrs. Van Slyke, though no decision was reached.
Respectfully submitted, Beulah P. Gillette, Sec.
