April 26/33 The Library Board met at the library April 26th. Meeting called to order by Pres. Bush. Mayor Adams having appt Mrs. Gillette on the Board in place of Mrs. Goodnow, it was voted that Mrs. Gillette act as Sec. The members Mr. Bush, Mr. Strobel and Mrs. Gillette were all present.
The President reported the librarian Mrs. Slyke had voluntarily asked for a $10.00 decrease making the present salary $75.00 per month which was appreciated by the board.
A proposition made by the Garden Club to plant peonies in S.E. and S.W. corners of the library lawn if the board would furnish shrubbery as a background, was accepted. All planting is to be done by the Garden Club without expense to the library.
Discussion in regard to closing path across the grounds and painting the roof and outside framework of the building was left open until a later date. Meeting adjourned. Respy. submitted. Beulah Gillette, Sec.
