Board Met at Library Present: M. J. McPherson, L. S. Brooke, L. E. Hewlett, A. D. Thompson. Minutes of last meeting read & approved. On due consideration the following bills were allowed:
A. J. Brown Salary for Sept & 1/2 mo Sup — $22.50
Myrtle Wilkinson Salary — 35.00
Gladys Cook Salary — 15.00
Line Michaels Lumber — 8.23
George Wahr Bill Books — 17.34
B. B. Rubert 10310# coal @ $7.25 — 37.38

On Motion 24 volumes of Juvenile Books was ordered purchased. Committee on grounds and buildings made report that in their opinion it would be better to lath and plaster center room in the basement instead of whitewashing same. On Motion committee was instructed to have the room lathed and plastered. On Motion committee on grounds & Buildings was ordered to see about lighting front entrance to Library. Book Committee reported that the Estate of Julia R. Wells presented volumes of books to the Carnegie Library and on Motion they were duly accepted with thanks to the donors.
[Margin Note]: Moved by L. E. Hewlett supported by A. D. Thompson that there be spread on the taxable property of the Township of Howell one mill on the dollar for support + maintenance of library — Carried.
