RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS RELATING TO THE HOWELL FREE PUBLIC LIBRARY AND CARNEGIE LIBRARY BUILDING

April 28 1909

Board met at Library. Present M.J. McPherson, L.S. Brooke, Geo. Barnes, R.B. McPherson, G.H. Chapel, & A.D. Thompson. Report of sect read and affirmed.

The board reorganized by electing the following officers.
President M.J. McPherson
President Protempfore L.S. Brooke
Secretary A.D. Thompson

Treasurer R. Bruce McPherson

After due consideration the following bills were allowed.

After some discussion in regard to the annual report, the board adjourned.

After due consideration, the following bills were allowed.

A.J. Brown salary 1/2 to village, 1/2 to township $17.50
Lucy Chapel, salary 30.00
The Electric Lights for May 3.68

L.S. Brook presented report for books to be considered for purchasing.
Moved, supported and carried that report of book committee be accepted and checked over by Librarian and those selected be purchased by committee.
