RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS RELATING TO THE HOWELL FREE PUBLIC LIBRARY AND CARNEGIE LIBRARY BUILDING
Board Met at Library. Present M.J. McPherson, L.S. Brooke, Geo. Barnes, Geo. H. Chapel and A.D. Thompson.
Minutes were read & approved.
After due consideration, the following bills were allowed.

A.J. Brown, Janitor salary village $17.50, township $17.50
Lucy Chapel, Librarian salary for June 30.00
Geo. Wahr bill May 9 1909 1.00
bill for May 26 1909 16.26
bill for June 9 $77.55 minus 2 books returned 75.38
A.J. Parker sharpening lawn mower (pd by Thos Gordan Jr) .75
The F. Bissell Co. one bill Apr. 1 '09 48.50

Electric Lights for June 3.04
Total $194.18

Moved, supported and carried that we purchase book of F.M. Lansing on Automobiles

Moved, supported and carried that book committee be ordered to purchase list of books presented.

Moved, supported and carried that Lucy Chapel be given a two weeks vacation with full pay.

Moved, supported and carried that M.J. McPherson be a committee to employ Mrs. Cleave during vacation of Lucy Chapel.
Moved, supported and carried we adjourn.

Book Committee presented report of books on American Literature Report accepted except as to English novels and Manon Crawford's works
and Committee ordered to pass change? list after some were checked with Librarian.
