Moved by Pettibone, seconded by Holt that it be adopted. Carried. At 12:00 o'clock moved by Pettibone seconded by Harger that this board
adjourn. Carried.

Howell, Mich., October 1, 1902
Sealed bids will be received up to noon of Wednesday, November 12, 1902, for building a Library Building at Howell, Mich. Drawings and specifications
of same can be seen at the office of Frank J. Holt, townhip clerk, at Howell, Mich. Bids must be addressed to Frank J. Holt, Howell, Mich., and marked
'Proposals for building Public Library.' Bidders are requested to make their proposals as follows:
1st. For the entire building complete
2nd. For the outside stone work.
3rd. For all inside walls.
4th. For the hardware and carpenter work complete.
5th For the varnish work.
6th Cost of galvanized work, painting and glazing.
7th State cost of stack building complete in separate item.
8th State cost of finish of basement
9th. State cost of steam heating apparatus and plumbing.
Bids will be opened and contract let as soon as possible after the above named date. The right to reject any and all bids is expressly reserved. Contract
for building to be secured by proper bond approved by township board of the township of Howell, and all bidders to furnish bond that they will
execute contract and furnish security for its faithful performance.

Builders claim that they should have access also to the original tracing plans for reference so they can make accurate estimates of the cost of each
part of the work. If they handle the plans carefully I see no objection to it as every facility should be afforded builders to prepare their estimates and trust

A meeting of the Township Board was held at the office of the township clerk Oct. 17, 1902 at 1:00 P.M.
Present: W.H.S. Wood, Supervisor, D.D. Harger and J.L. Pettibone, Justices of the Peace and Frank J. Holt, Clerk.
Moved by Harger, second by Pettibone that the following resolution be adopted.
Resolved: That persuant to request of architect of Oct. 16, 1902 the original plans of library be loaned to M.S. Cole Schaffer, Oct 18, 19 and 20
until Monday morning and calls of other bidders in descretion of Holt and Harger. Carried
