RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS RELATING TO THE HOWELL FREE PUBLIC LIBRARY AND CARNEGIE LIBRARY BUILDING

Know all men by these presents, that we, A.G.Kuehnle as principal and Gottlieb Kuehnle, Fred Kuhn, James H. Wallace, James A. Worthington as sureties, are held and firmly
bound unto the Township of Howell in the sum of Nine Thousand and eight hundred dollars ($9800.00) lawful money of the United States of America to be paid to the said
Township of Howell or to its certain attorney or assigns, successors to which payment will and truly to be made we jointly and severally bind
ourselves and our heirs, executors and administrators and each and every of them firmly by these presents.

Sealed with our seal, dated the fifteenth day of December A.D. 1902.
The condition of this obligation is solely that whereas the said A.G. Kuehnle has made and entered into a contract to erect, build and complete
'A Public Library Building for the said township of Howell on or before January 1st, 1904 and furnish all material therefor according to the plans,
Specificiations and detail drawings made and furnished by E.E. Myers and C.W. Koehler, architects. Now, therefore, if the said A.G. Kuehnle, his
heirs, assigns, executors or administrators shall well and truly keep and perform or cause to be kept and performed all of the covenants, obligations and agreements in
his said contract to and with the said township of Howell, and shall deliver to the said townhip of Howell the said building therein agreed upon, built, erected and
furnished in conformity with the said plans, drawings and specifications and completed at the time agreed upon therein, and free from all mechanics, liens,
material mens liens, builders liens or other liens and incumbrances of said A.G. Kuehnle.

And in addition to the liability above the said sureties do hereby accept all the conditions and stipulations set forth in the plans and specifications and detail
drawings as as much as though the same were herein set forth, then this obligation is void, otherwise to remain in full force.

Gottlieb Kuehnle, Fred Kuhn, James H. Wallace, and James A. Worthington, the sureties on the foregoing bond each being duly sworn, each for himself
deposes and says that he is worth in the aggregate in property not exempt from execution under the laws of this state the amount set opposite his
name after payment of all just debts, claims, and liabilities, to ?wit.

The said Gottlieb Kuehnle says he is worth $6000.00.
The said Fred Kuhn says he is worth $1000.00.
The said James H. Wallace says he is worth $1000.00.
The said James A. Worthington says he is worth $1000.00.
