July 6, 1903 Window frames set to stock room

July 7, 1903
Col. E.E. Myers reinspected Library building and looked in to the character of walls etc in company of Roche, Wood and Harger.

July 7 1903: W.H.S. Wood wrote Mr. VanWinkle asking him notify Mr. Gordan that as one member of the Library Board he Wood, considered it
discourteous to the architect Col. E.E. Myers without giving him ample notice thereof.

July 8 1903 Mr. Gordan arrived notifed Mr. Wood that architect Frank P. Allen of Grand Rapids would be here. Mr. Wood notified Col. E.E.
Myers personally

July 8, 1903 at 10 AM at office of Township Clerk both Boards met in joint session. All present but Mr. VanWinkle ?won was called to Probate Court
and therefore absent. Mr. Wood moved that Col. Myers be mailed to meet with us. Carried.
Mr. Harger stated object to allay doubts as to Library construction. General discussion by Messrs. Gordan, Harger, M.J. McPherson, Kirby, Brooks,
Adams, Roche, Holt, Kirk Chairman.
Col. Myers discussed all points & answered questions. Mr. Kuehnle gave notice to members of Library Board to keep of? grounds. Mr. Wood
presented from Twp. Clerk files that recommendation of Col. Myers of Mar. 3, 1903 as to brick and the action of Board in laying in on table
March 7 & letters, see page
Col. Myers invited all to go to grounds.
Mr. Wood moved we accept the invitation. No second.
Mr Wood renewed motion. No second.
Col Myers explained as to brick? water table, & made stone, Safety from fire by not ?furring & C. General discussion.
Mr. Wood spoke of Rev. Allen's being expected as per notice to him from Mr. Gordan & wanted it to be in presence of Col. Myers. Inp? Architect.
Mr. Harger moved to adjourn
Mr. Wood & Holt spoke for harmony.
Motion to adjourn carried.

July 8 1p.m. Library Board met at office of Thos. Gordan Jr. All present but Mr. VanWinkle soon called away & also Mr. Wood later. Board
consulted with Architect Frank Allen of Grand Rapids who had visited the building in the forenoon.
Later Mr. Kirk was present.
Later Four members and Mr. Allen went to Twp. Clerk office & inspected plans. Rev. Adams, M.J. McPherson and Mr. Allen visited
Library building and were told by foreman that he had been directed to order them off by the contractor.

July 10, 1903 Mr. Gordan gave notice of Library Board Meeting at his office this evening.
