    This photograph is of the R/UDAT Walking Tour, Howell, Michigan, and was taken as part of documentation for the R/UDAT Study, 1984.  In view is the North Michigan Avenue Bridge.  The names of the persons in the photograph are unknown.

    In 1983, the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce applied for a R/UDAT (Regional/Urban Design Assistance Team) study, an American Institute of Architects program that brought a team of professionals to the city for a four-day period to study Howell's downtown, its ability to compete for regional shopping, and to make recommendations for improvements to re-vitalize the city.  The team, in 1984, during the study took photographs, interviewed people, held forums, and in the end provided an outline of strategies.

    This is a photograph of Mrs. Wilma Frazee, telephone operator for Michigan Bell Telephone Company, Howell Michigan.  She is receiving a Vail Citation, according to the Livingston County Press, on Aug. 22, 1952.  The Citation was for her quick thinking during an emergency.

    Mrs. Wilma Frazee is flanked, on her left by Russell Engelhart, Michigan Bell Telephone, Howell Manager, and on her right by Mrs. Maw Hotchkiss, Chief Operator, Michigan Bell Telephone Company, Howell, Michigan.

    In an article in the Livingston County Press, November 25, 1953, the following persons were listed Miss Delia Auten,Mrs. Chrystal Hanson, Mrs. Mabel Williams, Miss Minnie Krause, D.D. Bowers, and Mr. Van Dolsen.  They gathered at the Michigan Bell Telephone Building, 310 East Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan.
