    This photograph was labeled, "Michigan Bell, Line workers" and was grouped with a series of Michigan Bell Telephone pictures in Howell.  The photograph was taken with two large homes in the background and shows men working in trenches with cement blocks. the photo appears to showcase construction of the buried line infrastructure that relieved the city of much of the tangled lines present in photos from the earlier parts of the 20th century. This work, as evidenced by photographs, was likely to have been mostly completed by the mid-1960s.
