A meeting of the township board was held at the office of the township clerk Nov. 12, 1902 at 1:00 P.M.
Present: W.H.S. Wood Supervisor, D.D. Harger and J. L. Pettibone, Justices of the Peace and Frank J. Holt, Clerk, also E.P. Gregory and R. Bruce McPherson
of the Advisory Library Committee.
The sealed proposals for building library building were opened and were found to be as follows.

Dear Sir:-
I hereby present bid for excavating, field stone work, cut stone and all brick work (furnishing all material and labor) for the new Carnegie Library to be erected
in Howell, Mich, according to the plans and specifications prepared by E.E. Myers and Chas. W. Koehler, architects, for the sum of six thousand nine hundred and ninety
dollars, ($6990.00).

I herewith submit bid for Heating and plumbing the new library building in accordance with Plans and Specifications for the sum of $1675.00.

Proposal for Building Public Library
The following are my proposals and estimates for the building of the Public Library.
First For entire building complete including electric wiring and fixtures. $9725.00
Second For outside stone work 2350.00
Third All inside walls including foundation and Plastering 975.00
Fourth Hardware and carpenter work including iron work 3130.00
Fifth For varnish work 90.00
Sixth For galvanized iron works, painting and glazing 1750.00
Seventh Stack building complete 192.00
Eighth The cost of basement is included in the other items
Nineth Steam heating and plumbing 1285.00
Tenth Electric wriing and fixtures 220.00
If this proposal meets with your approval, I will furnish the required bond upon demand.

Moved by Wood, seconded by Harger, that the Library Record show to whom advertisements for bids were sent and all matters relating to the letting
of contract, copies of bids and contracts and bonds and other details and that an appropriation to pay the clerk be made therefor at the proper

Moved by Wood, seconded by Pettibone that the bid or proposal of A.G. Kuehnle marked 'First' to construct the Library building complete including
electric wiring and fixtures for $9725.00 be....
