Lane married Herbert Hammond.  Anna and Herbert's daughter was Emily Janet Hammond.  Janet married Albert Rohrabacher, whose great grandfather was one of the early settlers of Howell, Michigan in 1836.  Janet was born near Lansing, Michigan in 1913, became a licensed practical nurse, and was interested in genealogy at a  young age.  Janet was a longtime member of the Philip Livingston Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Howell, Michigan, and a co-founder of the Livingston County Historical Society and the Livingston County Genealogical Society, Michigan.  She was also an author of the "Bicentennial History of Howell, served on the Howell Carnegie DIstrict Library Archives Board and a volunteer at the Archives for many years.  In 1998, she received the prestigious Lucy Mary Kellogg Award, from the Michigan Genealogical Council.  Janet was also instrumental in the Annual Davis Lane & Emily Winchester Lane Family Reunions.   It is believed that Janet donated this record of Emily Winchester's teaching certificate.   Emily Janet Hammond Rohrabacher died in 2016.
