Meeting Minutes: The regular meeting of the Commission was held at the library Friday evening, Mar. 20th at 8 o’clock. Present: Dr. Noble, Mr. Strobel, and Mrs. Gillette. Dr. Noble presided. The treasurer Mr. Strobel reported 1679.00∗∗inthetreasury.Alateraccountingdiscoveredabout∗∗300.00 more on hand, making the balance on hand $1979.00. Various projects relating to library service were discussed but no action was taken. Meeting adjourned.

Meeting Minutes: The regular meeting of the new Commission was held in the Library on Friday evening, April 24th at 8 o’clock. The Commission's Personnel had changed since the last meeting through the expiration of the terms of Mrs. Beulah P. Gillette (whose three years term had terminated) and of Herman G. Strobel who was serving a special term of one year. Neither Mrs. Gillette nor Mr. Strobel wishing to be reappointed, the City Council had appointed Mr. Berthold Woodhams for a term of three years, and Mrs. Francis Smith for a term of two years. Mr. Woodhams and Mrs. Smith with Mr. Noble (who has one more year of his three year term to serve) constitute the Commission for this year. In the organization of the Commission, Mr. Woodhams was elected Chairman, Mrs. Smith treasurer, and Mr. Noble secretary.
The following bills were approved and submitted to the City Council for payment:

Of the annual allotment of funds for the library for the library year 1941-42 amounting to 3394.60∗∗,thecityclerkreportedabalanceasofApril1,1942of∗∗1662.84. After reading that part of the City Charter appertaining to the functions of the Library Commission, the Commission adjourned.
