Meeting Minutes (Continued): The Treasurer Mr. Strobel reported a bal. in the Treasury of $3243.40.The allotment to the library from the city taxes this year is $26.00 less than last.
There followed a discussion of ways and means of replenishing the library treasury for it is not adequate for the many demands upon it. Dr. Noble will request Howell City to make an appropriation if the Council deems it advisable or possible.

Meeting Minutes: On Fri. afternoon Oct. 25th the Commission met at the Library. Present: Dr. Noble, Mr. Strobel, and Mrs. Gillette. Minutes of the Sept. meeting were read by the secretary and approved as read. Bills to the amount of $491.20 were presented by the treasurer.They were approved and orders drawn for said amount. Mrs.Van Slyke thanked the commission for the $10.00 allowed her towards her expenses for the Librarians' Convention in Gd. Rapids Oct 16-19th.

Meeting Minutes (Continued): It was recommended to the librarian that any printing necessary to the work of the library be given to the Liv. Co. Press, who give the library the publicity so necessary for the information of the public regarding new books.
In accordance with the request of Mrs. Van Slyke, it was decided new felt should be purchased for covering the reading table in the stack room.
