RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS RELATING TO THE HOWELL FREE PUBLIC LIBRARY AND CARNEGIE LIBRARY BUILDINGApril 26th, 1910
Meeting held at LIbrary.
Present. Brooke, Chapel, McPherson, M.J., Thompson
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
After due consideration, the following bills were allowed.
A.J. Brown, Salary for April vill 17.50, 17.50 tsp $17.50
Miss Wilkinson salary 30.00
Inter State Long Distance telephone rental 6.00
Geo. Wahr bill 4/5 11.25
Geo. Wahr bill 4/15-10 37.06
Electric Light for April & Water tax 15.48
Total 117.29
Moved supported and carried that the book committee be ordered to purchase bill of books as read.
Moved supported and carried that we order the International Yearbook for 1908 and 1909 and ?Handbook of U.S. Public Documents and Latin and German Lexicon.
Moved and supported that the report of the Librarian be accepted and place on file: carried.
Moved and supported that M.J. McPherson be a committee to see the Edition of the papers in Howell and have them publish Librarian's
report and try to get them to publish the lists of new books from time to time.
Moved, supported and carried that we adjourn until May 3rd 1910 a 7:30 PM. A.D. Thompson

Present: M.J. McPherson, L.S. Brooke, L.E. Howlett, R.B. McPherson, Geo. H. Chapel, and A.D. Thompson
Report of Treasurer read and on motion accepted. Moved, supported and carried that we have 750 copies of Annual Report or Yearbook
printed for distribution among taxpayers.
M.J. McPherson and R.B. McPherson were elected committee to prepare Annual Yearbook and have same printed.
On motion, the Salary of Janitor was unanimously voted at $40 per month. On Motion, M.J. McPherson and A.D. Thompson were
appointed as committee to attend to all matters pertaining to Library and village where they are jointly interested.
The following bills were allowed
H. W. Wilson Co Books $2.50
The Board proceeded to the election of officers for ensuing year as follows:
President M.J. McPherson
Vice President L.S. Brooke
Secretary A.D. Thompson
Treasurer R.B. McPherson
On motion the following committees were elected for the year
Book Committee L.E. Howlett & L.S. Brooke
Men's Room R.B. McPherson & L.S. Brooke
Grounds & Buildings M.J. McPherson and Geo. H. Chapel
On motion, meeting adjourned
