Meeting Minutes: The Library Com. met at the library on Thurs. evening June 15, Dr. Noble, Mr. Strobel and Mrs Gillette being present.
Before the meeting was called to order, the Commission inspected the rubber runners in the main lobby of the library and decided to ask Mr. John Baumann to estimate the cost of two new strips to replace the center ones that were more worn than the others, approximately 16 yds.
Meeting called to order by the chairman Dr. Noble. Secretary's report read and approved.
Mr. Strobel reported no city dealer has coal at present nor are any prices available.
After some discussion of finance, a motion was made and carried one half of the janitor's salary (32.50)∗∗bepaidthismonthfromthe∗∗appropriationmadebytheState∗∗andthebalanceofthatfund(about∗∗56.00) be spent for fiction.
Motion made and carried the library be closed on Tues. and Fri. evenings during July and August. Meeting adjourned.

Meeting Minutes: The Library Com. met at the library on Wed. evening Aug. 2, Dr. Noble, Mr. Strobel and Mrs. Gillette present. Meeting was called to order by the president, Dr. Noble. Minutes of last meeting read and approved as read.
Upon final inspection it was found about 30 yds of rubber matting in the lobby was needed instead of 16 as originally planned. It had been laid and was not entirely satisfactory to the board, so Dr. Noble was appointed to approach the Baumanns and find if it could be improved in any way.
There is still no coal available. Tax money is now being received so the library will soon be granted its apportionment.
The last quarter of fund from State Library Aid Fund has been rec'd, about $58.00. Same must be used by June 1940.
Mrs. Van Slyke was granted a two weeks' vacation with pay. Mrs. Bennett was granted eight days with pay as she is at the library but 4 days per week. The subject of selecting a...
