Description

Photographs of a house that was located aross from Emil Bode's old home on N. Michigan. The address is 711 North Michigan Avenue, Howell, Michigan.

The house  was  built about 1846 by Edward Thompson, son of Moses. He and his wife Rosella died in the house in 1852 within a week of each other. The house was built in the late 1840's. It was the first brick home built in Howell in 1845. It is estimated that the  house was built between those dates.

The house was later owned by the Stover's in the 1940's, the Langley's in the 1950's, and in the 1960's - 1999, William and Yvonne Atchison.

The date of these photographs are unknown.
