    These photographs were taken at the fire at Howell Tire Company, 215 South Michigan Avenue, Howell, Michigan,  August 1959.  Five persons were injured when a wall fell upon them.  The business was a total loss.

    Howell Tire Company was owned by Jack Mauls.  The names of the persons in the pictures are unknown.

    This is a photograph of a drawing M.J. Staley Wagon Shop, Howell, Michigan, as depicted in 1899.  Mark J. Staley was the owner; the location of Sibley Street near South Court Street.   The date of the drawing and photograph are unknown.

    This site was also the Presbyterian Meeting House of Howell, Michigan erected in 1838; it was later occupied for the session of the Livingston County Court in an early day. By 1899, the building  was occupied as a wagon repair shop.

    This is an aerial view of the Menzie Farm Equipment that was owned by Robert M. Menzies.  They sold farm implements and hardware.  It was built on East Grand River Avenue and the northeast corner of Golf Club Road.    It was later International Harvester, then Michigan Bell.

    The year of the photograph is unknown.  Grand River Avenue is in the foreground.  Cars traveling are noted and Golf Club Road running north is also visible.
