  • Harold Crandall, Real Estate Agent, Howell, Michigan - 1949

    Photos of Harold Crandall while in his office at 322 E Grand River in Howell. After returning from World War I, Crandall became involved in real estate. He founded Crandall Realty Inc. which later became Griffith Realty. 

    Crandall married Hazel M. Rubert in the fall of 1925. They had three children, Frederick, John, and Nancy.

  • Harriet (Armstrong McPherson) Grieve (1808-1887)

    Harriet (Armstrong McPherson) Grieve (1808-1887) married James Grieve (1796-1845) and were early settlers in Putnam Township, Livingston County,Michigan purchased land from federal government in 1835-1837. They had five children as follows: 
  • Harriet Grieve (1845-1933)

    Harriet Grieve (1845-1933) married Sylvester Topping (1848-1931). He ran a general store and sawmill in Plainfield, Michigan. The sawmill went up in flames one day, which was the first fire the town's new fire engine was put to use on. They owned a large house in Plainfield, Michigan. Sylvester tragically committed suicide, hanging himself in the barn in February 1932. For many years he was the local postmaster. Also organist for the church choir.
