  • These photographs were taken at the "Meet and Greet" for National Honor Society students of Livingston County, sponsored by the Citizens' Mutual Insurance Company, Howell, Michigan, June 1973.

    The setting is the Holiday Inn of Howell, Michigan.  The names of the persons are unknown.

  • This collection of photographs were taken on January 6th, 1970 during the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of employment at Citizens Mutual Insurance Company for Berthold Woodhams.   The Reception was held in the cafeteria of Citizens Mutual Insurance Company.

    Mr. Woodhams started at Citizens in 1920 as an adjustor.  He later was President, and served as Chairman of the Board.  Friends and family from Howell and many other cities across the state came to celebrate this Anniversary.

    In Photograph, 0036, Mr. and Mrs. Berthold Woodhams are featured.  They are also seen in many of the other photographs, including a reception line.  The names of the other people are unknown.

    The location of the party and the names of the persons in the photographs are unknown.
  • This is a photograph taken at the 1950 "Old Timer's Party" , Howell Electric Motors, Company, Electric Apparatus, Howell, Michigan.   The company held an annual banquet and service recognition party.  The location, exact date, and names of the persons in the picture are unknown.
  • These are photographs of the worker strike at Electric Apparatus,  UAW Local 568, Strike of Workers, 1980.  Electric Apparatus was the maker of Howell Red Band Motors, and was formerly named Howell Motors Company.  

    Located at 401 Roosevelt Street, Howell, Michigan, these pictures show picketing workers.  The names of the workers or the exact date of the picket are unknown.

  • This is a photograph from the April 2, 1955 "victory dinner" when the non-profit corporation for the purpose of raising funds for the construction of a new hospital facility met their goal of $698,736.   Robert Akin was the general chairman of the Hospital Development Committee.

    According to the 1988 Annual Report of McPherson Hospital,  Howell, Michigan, with matching federal funds, this fundraising campaign enabled planners to go ahead with their plans to build a 75 bed hospital at a cost of $1,267,000.

    The location of the banquet and the persons in the photographs are unknown.
  • These are photographs of the booth for Fowlerville Lumber Company, Livingston County Home Show, 1983.  Tom Zimmerman at center in brown shirt. Ed and Lynn Zimmerman owned the business and Tom was Lynn's son.
