    These photographs are of the Russell Smith Ford Sales & Service Dealership, 401 West Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan.  They were also a "Hi-Speed" Gasoline Station.

    They are advertising "Out They Go" sales of used cars; two older Fordson Tractors are in the scene.  The names of the people and exact date are unknown but thought to be ~1941.

    This is a photograph of an early postcard, by E.K. Johnson, of West Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan.  It is pre-1915; Grand River Avenue was paved in 1915.  The location is looking west from the 400 block of West Grand River, where the Masonic Lodge is now, and where Russell Smith Company was in the 1950's.   The name of the person in the photograph is unknown.

    This photograph was included in the 1992 Edition of the Howell Bicentennial History, pp. 414 -5.

    This photograph was labeled, "Winklehaus Float -1947", and is of the Kristensen Motors Sales truck pulling a circa 1875 Fire Engine, in the parade in Howell, Michigan, 1947.  The parade is heading west on West Grand River Avenue, and the Howell Carnegie Library is in the background.

    Kristensen Motors Sales, a Lincoln-Mercury automobile dealership, was owned by Aksel Kristensen; it was located at 1225 East Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan.
